I started with a straightforward recruiter call about my background. Soon after, I took a HackerRank coding assessment. It ran about 75 to 90 minutes and had two medium-style questions, closer to LeetCode data structures and algorithms than anything company-specific.
One problem involved string and array manipulation. The other relied on hash-map thinking and edge-case handling. The difficulty felt more brutal than I expected. One unfamiliar question used a tougher two-pointer pattern, and another involved an approximation approach with bit manipulation, which threw me off.
Things ended without an offer. The assessment stage felt intense. I had prepared for typical coding-interview formats, but the exact problem flavor and difficulty made it hard to leave the HackerRank test feeling confident.
Location: United States. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
