Teledyne Technologies Software Engineer Interview Experience: confrontational technical interview

The interview looked standard on paper, with technical and behavioral questions. I understood what they were looking for until one interviewer became confrontational, arguing, raising their voice, and pushing in a way that felt intended to put me down. I stayed as calm and professional as I could, but the exchange felt hostile and humiliating.

I initially thought the pressure might be an intentional stress test. Instead, the interviewer came across as angry and arrogant, and I lost motivation during the interview. I completed the discussion but did not want to join a team that included that behavior.

The difficulty came from the disrespect rather than the questions. I walked away from the role, was not offered the position, and saw it remain reposted, which reinforced the sour impression.
