The process had a looping structure. It began with an online assessment, then moved through data structures and algorithms, basic OOP and DBMS concepts, and Amazon leadership principles. There was also an HR interview and a low-level design component, so the process covered a broad mix rather than one narrow subject.
I learned about the steps as things progressed. The leadership-principle part stood out because I needed STAR-ready stories tied to common themes. The interviewers wanted detailed examples of impact and ownership, with customer obsession and bias for action appearing as recognizable areas of focus.
I did not receive an offer. The questions were fairly standard for the competencies being tested, but the combination of technical fundamentals and behavioral structure required attention across both.
