Prime Video Software Engineer interview: difficult online assessment

The online assessment was harder than I expected. It had three LeetCode-style questions. I completed the easier first one, brute-forced parts of the second, and could not fully solve the third, which was in the medium-to-hard range.

The questions emphasized data structures and edge cases. One late question had many scenarios to account for. I could move between questions and return to earlier ones, so the assessment was not strictly sequential, but the complexity still accumulated. I did not move forward. I understood what the test was measuring, yet the time pressure and later edge-case reasoning, especially on the hardest prompt, were what tripped me up.
