After applying, I had a recruiter phone screen about my experience and the technologies I had used. Soon afterward, the technical discussion focused on how I had built real projects: one project in depth, the design decisions I made, and the trade-offs behind them.
That conversation also included how I had considered adopting AI in my current work. Coding-related exchanges were woven into the project story, so it felt less like a standalone algorithm test and more like explaining engineering decisions aloud. There was a separate, more personal conversation about my background and earlier projects that gave context before the technical focus.
The difficulty felt average. The interviewers were professional and approachable, and although I did not receive an offer, I came away thinking they wanted to understand both how I communicated and how I made technical choices.
Location: Utah, IL. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
