I went through a multi-step process that felt unusual in how quickly it ramped up. It started with a recruiter meeting where I answered basic questions. Then I was assigned homework tied to the role, which I had to complete before the next technical conversation. After that, I had a technical interview with the hiring manager.

The format shifted again when I interviewed with current employees. The momentum changed too quickly for me, and I was cut short. It sounded like the next step would involve conversations with more senior leaders. I felt uneasy because the employee interviews didn’t seem focused on the right lens for what I was being evaluated on.

I never finished the full loop, so there wasn’t a clear technical decision at the end. The company seemed intent on moving quickly, but the handoffs and homework-heavy step made the process feel less coherent than it could have been.
