GHD Software Engineer interview: technical and STAR questions

After applying, I had an organized and professional early process. I began with a recruiter conversation about my background and role fit. My final conversation was with two interviewers, who started with a brief overview of the company and what they wanted.

The interview mixed technical and competency questions but felt welcoming rather than combative. I explained my experience and problem-solving approach, then answered scenario questions in a STAR-style structure. They were not trick questions, and the tone stayed respectful even when I did not land every answer as well as I wanted.

There was plenty of time for questions. I appreciated that the interviewers seemed interested in me as a person, not only my academics. I was not successful overall, but the clear expectations and comfortable environment left a positive impression.
