VO

BQ — not like a normal BQ, more like a conversation. The interviewer dove deep into how I'd improve my projects. I don't know why, but after about 20 minutes he seemed to lose interest. He asked if I had any questions for him. After I asked, he went back to asking me about projects where I used a lot of different approaches.

Coding

The food restaurant question — before this the first part was to find the shortest path for a single item, but this time the interviewer wanted the shortest path for every item. I got all the way to the fifth part, and the last one seemed to be a DP problem.

Event processing — given a Kafka stream with a lot of orders, then new/fill/cancel status types. Note: for the first question, since it's Kafka, you need to think about idempotency keys — I didn't write that. After I finished all 3 parts, the interviewer went back to the first question and asked if I had any thoughts on it, and I answered then (maybe I didn't answer it well?). Anyway, I did get all 3 parts written out.

I ended up failing — I'm guessing the second coding round wasn't good enough.
