Business Intelligence Analyst interview at Keyrus France: Power BI mismatch

I expected a role centered on senior Power BI development, but that expectation shifted quickly. After an HR introductory call, I completed a Power BI technical assessment. It included Azure and ETL/ELT, yet I came away thinking they were seeking a narrow, highly specific background in other technical areas.

Those extra knockout requirements had not been emphasized in the screen or clearly reflected in how I understood the job. I spent about an hour on the introductory call and another hour on the assessment, only to be declined before any hiring-team interview.

It did not feel like a fair match evaluation to me. I felt the process would end as soon as my profile missed hidden priorities, and that the filtering should have happened earlier.
