Amazon DSP Software Engineer interview: GenAI and debugging

One technical portion was not a simple blank-page coding exercise. I was placed in a web-app debugging scenario with a limited AI assistant that could read files and explain them, but it would not supply the answer. I had to work out the behavior, make sense of the code, and iterate under time pressure.
Even the GenAI-oriented rounds ended with DSA questions, including a graph-algorithm question and some difficult ad hoc problems. I did not receive an offer. What stayed with me was that the process tested technical accuracy and whether I could keep moving when the tool could not think through the problem for me.
Location: Hyderābād. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
