The journey involved many people, each testing a different angle of the same skill set. Before the main loop, I had a recruiter screen and a pre-interview check with the hiring manager. I then had technical and product-adjacent conversations with an engineering director, a senior product owner, and senior engineers.
The final stretch included Bar Raiser-style interviewers and a hiring-manager conversation. Although the titles changed, the format was consistent. Each person pressed on communication and problem solving, and behavioral evaluation appeared alongside technical evaluation instead of only at the end.
The difficulty was high, and the number of rounds meant I was constantly switching between explaining my approach and answering deeper questions about my tradeoffs. I did not receive an offer. The process was exhaustive by design, and it felt like an assessment of how I think under sustained scrutiny.
Location: Redmond, WA. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
