Airbus Americas Software Engineer interview: bilingual fit discussion

One session combined HR and a developer in the same block. The questions were general, with no technical assessment, and the conversation switched languages: French first, then English. The wait afterward stretched for a long time, which I assumed was connected to security and background checks.

Earlier in the process, I had another interview that was more relaxed and discussion-based. It did not seem designed to trick me. I was unsure about some questions, but the overall experience felt manageable and friendly.

The steps were more about fit and logistics than hard live problem solving. I did not receive an offer. What remained with me was how much the timeline seemed to depend on internal processes outside the interview itself.
