I completed a prerecorded one-way video interview. Once I submitted each response, I could not change it or replay what I had sent. The format was timed: I had a short preparation period and then a longer speaking window. Some versions gave around two minutes to answer, while others were tighter, with only seconds to respond.
The prompts covered my motivation, why I wanted the brand, fashion preferences, favorite trends, and my style. They also asked how I would come across in retail, communicate with people, and handle teamwork or problem solving. It sometimes felt more like performing under constraints than a real conversation.
The set of questions took about 20 minutes. It could lead quickly to another step or to silence. The one-chance recording format was frustrating, and when I did not hear back I wondered what had happened to the recordings.
